Course Programme:

 

  • Experiential insights into how you are working in your team - roles, dynamics, patterns of behaviour. Awareness Training.

  • How culture forms you as a person and how this affects your work place.

  • How the Irish cultural experience relates to other cultures. 

  • The power of perceptions, assumptions and everyday routines.

  • Developing a shared language for addressing assumptions as they arise.

  • How to recognise and de-activate mine-fields in e-mail and phone communication. 

  • Expect conflict and be prepared - introduction to methods such as mediation and restorative circles.

  • Activities designed to help participants formulate personal and team goals and milestones to support the application of new skills in their workplace. 

 

Learning Approach:

 

Building on over 15 years of experience in adult education and as a communication trainer Thomas Riedmuller uses an experiential learning approach. This methodology of learning provides opportunities to apply new insights in practice and offers participants feedback on their newly applied skills. Opportunities for ongoing reflection help learners to integrate these skills into their lives at work and at home.

Public Course Cost for a one day course (per participant)  €150

 

For In-House courses, Thomas will contact you in advance to discuss the course programme in more detail in order to tailor it specifically for your organisation. Depending on your goals and training needs this offering may be delivered as a programme stretching over several sessions spread across an agreed period of time.

 

Additional Support:

 

To assist with continuing skills development, we facilitate via email a reflective practice after the training based on goals formulated by the team during the training. This assists participants in integrating new learning into their daily work lives.
