Effective Feedback

1 Day Training Course

Rationale

The abilitity to give constructive feedback is a key skill for everybody who is in a leadership role, in ongoing communications as well as specific situations such as performance reviews. These tend to be particularly dreaded occasions for which skill can be developed so that all feedback becomes an opportunity for growth, learning, and building trust, rather than moments that create fear and resentment.

Constructive feedback is one of the greatest gifts managers can provide to employees. When delivered properly, the right feedback can reinforce positive behavior and correct any negative performances.

On the receiving side of feedback, there is also considerable skill and attitude you can learn and perfect which enables you to engage constructively in the feedback process and to use it in a way that empowers you.

Part of the personal learning often means overcoming tendencies of defensiveness, low self-esteem and victim mentality that we all may be prone to at times.
